Walton-Verona "WV Clash" (Track & Field)

Featured Replies

? The Lady Cru bested the Lady 'Stangs in the girls competition, and Campbell Co. prevented a St. Henry sweep by winning the boys meet.

Some of the best Class A performances in the state this year were made at the WVAC. The small schools more than held their own against NKY AAA competition. Shouldn't be surprising - NKY Class A track has captured 32 state titles since 1984.

If you were at the meet and have pictures, observations, or results, please share. I'm sorting performance rankings to post. This was an outstanding Track & Field meet.

* Unofficial, through six places.

Didn't make the Friday night girl's session, but the boy's Saturday morning session flew by.  I would have like to see the girls teams run, but I was able to see some good performances Saturday without it lasting the whole day.  Somewhat refreshing.

Ryan Long (Trimble County) was impressive in the sprints.

Ryan did have a good day, placing first in the 100 - 11.40 (KY 1A #4) and 200 - 22.83 (KY 1A #2).

That is nice that the girls and boys got their own meets, but I could watch a T&F all day.

Glad you got to go. Did anyone else stand out?
