nWo
The severe weather threat continues for later this evening into the morning hours on Sunday. I'm issuing a Severe Weather Weather Alert because this event will be a night time event. Isolated to scattered severe storms that have damaging winds and hail appear to be the main threats. A isolated tornado or two can't be ruled out. The Storm Prediction Center has most of Kentucky in a category 2 Slight Risk Area while northern and portions of eastern and southeastern Kentucky are in a category 1 Marginal Risk Area. The timing shows everything getting going around 7 pm EST in western Kentucky and along section of the border with Tennessee. The storms will grow in intensity and coverage as the night progresses. The severe potential should be ending around 4 am EST. Most of the severe storms should be west of I-75. With the greatest chance to see a tornado or two west of I-65. I will be back with an update this afternoon.
