Clay led by 14 in the first half, but the Vikings came charging back to make it interesting. Zach Lewis had 19 to lead three Tigers in double figures, and Quantez Frazier led Valley with 11 in a balanced effort.

 

Clay faces South Laurel at 8:15 tomorrow at SL, while Valley plays Whitefield Academy at 4:45.

If they get one or two of the stars in foul trouble early. Other than that, it'll probably be 20+. Clay's just too young and inexperienced to pull an upset of that magnitude.

I think Spurlock will build a good team at Clay this year. It is unfortunate for him that he plays in a tough 13th this year...
