Morgan County vs. West Carter (62nd District Championship)

Good luck to the Lady Cougars for making it to the 62nd District Championship game! Big Shout out to their HC Derrik Young who arguably should have been in the talk for Coach of the Year. He has stepped up to a challenge in his 1st year as HC and whether Win or Lose, will take the Cougars back to Morehead in the Regional Tournament, which has been a very long time since doing so for the Lady Cougars. They will take on a great West Carter team tonight, with hopes of bringing a Championship title back to West Liberty. 

Good Luck Lady Cougars! Let's bring back the 62nd title back to West Liberty!

My mom used to play for Morgan County - back in the early 1950s when there were "girls"
 rules and long before girls' basketball was a KHSAA sanctioned sport.   Morgan County's coach then didn't like the girls' rules, so they played boys' rules - and of course, were not allowed to officially compete against other teams.   As I understand it, they played an "exhibition" schedule against other girls' teams - and basically whipped them all....
