9th Region surprises so far?

Was just looking through some girls records and noticed Holmes is sitting at 5-1 right now.

 

Anyone know how good they really are? Or has their schedule just been weak so far.

Holmes actually should be very tough this year with McGee, Weaver, and Slade all returning. Weaver was actually ranked in the top 10 players in the preseason 9th region poll.

Holmes' only loss is to Campbell County who just lost to Bracken County?

 

You should find out this week how good they are. They are playing Boone and Shelby County (who just beat Mercy by 20 this past weekend).

I think Boone being 3-2 is a mild surprise.

Thought they would beat one of the two between Manual and Henry Clay.

But I think Coach Fookes will have them really hard to beat come Rregional time.
