nWo
Heavy Rain is probably this weekend. After scattered showers on Saturday heavy rain is expected to move in Sunday morning and last through Monday. With the ground being saturated from the melting snow and ice high water issues will be possible. I fully expect a flash flood watch to be issued by Friday. This will be mainly for areas south of I-64. The heaviest rain accumulations will be from the Cumberland PKWY to the south. Those in the last area mentioned could receive 4-6 inches of rain. From I-64 down to the Cumberland PKWY are looking a 2-4 inches of rain. North of I-64 .25 to 1.5 inches will be possible. The GFS and European Models are in pretty close agreement while the Canadian is showing lighter amounts. First here is what the radar simulations are showing. GFS The European The Canadian This is what each model is showing for possible rain accumulations. GFS European Canadian The Weather Prediction Center has all of Kentucky except areas along the Ohio River in a heavy rain possible area. Check back for updates tomorrow.
