...WINTER STORM WARNING IN EFFECT FROM 7 PM THIS EVENING TO 7 AM
EST FRIDAY...

* WHAT...Heavy mixed precipitation expected. Total snow
accumulations of 3 to 6 inches, with locally higher amounts
possible as well as ice accumulations of up to one tenth of an
inch.

* WHERE...Portions of east central, northeast, south central and
southeast Kentucky.

* WHEN...From 7 PM this evening to 7 AM EST Friday.

* IMPACTS...Travel could be very difficult and may be nearly
impossible at times. The hazardous conditions could impact
travel as early as this evening and also the Thursday morning
and evening commutes. Additional power outages are possible as
significant accumulations of ice remain on trees.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...The majority of the snow should fall
between 7 PM this evening and 7 AM on Thursday morning. The
precipitation should become lighter for a time around midday to
early afternoon on Thursday, and mix with or change to rain,
especially along and south of the Mountain Parkway. Colder air
will Thursday afternoon and Thursday evening, leading to the
precipitation changing back to a mix of light freezing rain and
light snow.

.THIRD WINTER STORM TO AFFECT SOUTH CENTRAL INDIANA AND CENTRAL KENTUCKY TONIGHT AND THURSDAY... .Multiple rounds of wintry weather are expected later today through early Friday morning. Snow accumulations greater than 4 inches will be possible across portions of south-central Kentucky during the period with lighter snowfall accumulations expected north of the Western Kentucky and Bluegrass Parkways.

* WHAT...Heavy mixed precipitation expected. Total snow
accumulations of 3 to 5 inches with isolated higher amounts and
ice accumulations of a light glaze will be possible.

* WHERE...Portions of south-central and east-central Kentucky.

* WHEN...From 7 PM EST /6 PM CST/ this evening to 7 AM EST /6 AM
CST/ Friday.

* IMPACTS...Travel could be very difficult. The hazardous
conditions could impact the morning or evening commute.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

If you must travel, keep an extra flashlight, food, and water in
your vehicle in case of an emergency.
