1) Knott County Central (8-4):   Previous Rank: 1

This Week: 2/9 at Martin County, 2/13 vs. Pike County Central

The Patriots opened up the WYMT Classic this past week against Harlan County. It would be a back and forth game before Harlan County pulled out a 74-70 double overtime win. The Patriots are 2-3 in the last 5 games, can they get things turned around this week?

2) Hazard (10-3):   Previous Rank: 2

This Week: 2/8 at Lee County, 2/9 at Letcher County Central, 2/12 at Estill County.

The Bulldogs went 2-1 last week, defeating Martin County 75-65 in the opening round of the WYMT Classic before falling to Harlan County 69-65 in overtime. Hazard would bounce back in the third place game of the WYMT Classic, defeating 14th region foe, Wolfe County 59-52. How will the Dawgs fare when they are away from Memorial Gym this week?

3) Wolfe County (6-6):   Previous Rank: 3

This Week: 2/10 at Breathitt County

Wolfe County was able to get past Buckhorn 75-43 in the opening round of the WYMT Classic but their run would come to an end as they would fall in their next two games, 81-74 to 13th region powerhouse, Knox Central. Wolfe County would meet Hazard for a second time this season looking to revenge an earlier season loss to the Bulldogs but that would be just an illusion as the Wolves would fall to the Bulldogs 59-52. Wolfe County will be on the road this week at Breathitt County in a big 55th district matchup. They defeated Breathitt County 88-64 earlier in the season, will this be a repeat or will Wolfe County lose their third straight?

4) Breathitt County (10-2):   Previous Rank: 5

This Week: 2/8 vs. Wellspring Guardians (Richmond KY Home School), 2/10 vs. Wolfe County, 2/12 at Newport

The Bobcats are on fire right now. With the three wins last week, Estill County 52-46, Letcher County Central 71-64 and Leslie County 81-57, the Bobcats have now won 5 straight and 7 of their last 8 and seem to be firing on all cylinders.

6) Estill County (7-4):   Previous Rank: 6

This Week: 2/9 vs. Bluegrass United (Lexington KY Home School), 2/12 vs. Hazard, 2/13 at Bath County.

The Engineers seen their four game win streak snapped last week when they first fell to Breathitt County 52-46 on Tuesday and then fell to Garrard County 57-51. Estill County was able to bounce back and pick up a big district win over Lee County 58-41 to help somewhat stop the bleeding. Can Estill County make some noise this week or will they find themselves in the loss column again?

7) Letcher County Central (7-5):   Previous Rank: 7

This week: 2/9 vs. Hazard, 2/11 vs. Jenkins

The Cougars split their two games last week, falling 71-64 to Breathitt County but bouncing back and defeating Cordia 63-61 in overtime. Letcher County Central has dropped 3 of their last 5 games. Will that streak continue or can they find the magic to knock off #2 Hazard and make a statement to the rest of the 14th region?

8 ) Leslie County (4-7):   Previous Rank: 3

This Week: 2/9 vs. Jackson County, 2/12 at Pineville.

Leslie County has lost 5 straight after last week's 2 losses and have dropped 7 of their last 9 games. Can the Eagles find a win this week or more losses to the loss column?

9) Buckhorn (6-9):   Previous Rank: 10

This Week: 2/8 at Pineville, 2/11 at Martin County, 2/13 at Jackson County.

Buckhorn picked up two big wins last week but one a lot bigger than the other one. Buckhorn defeated Ligon COGO (KY Home School) 111-56 and the big big win, they defeated Perry County Central 50-46. In the process of the wins, the Wildcats were dealt two losses, 75-43 to Wolfe County and 53-51 to Lee County.

10) Perry County Central (2-7):   Previous Rank: 8

This Week: 2/9 vs. Owsley County, 2/10 vs. Magoffin County, 2/12 vs. Ligon COGO (KY Home School), 2/13 at Madison Southern.

Perry County Central was able to get two games in last week but both were losses. 50-46 to Buckhorn and 64-63 to Pike County Central. Prior to those two games, Perry County Central had 3 that were canceled due to COVID-19. With a slate of games this week, can the Commodores get things turned around or will they continue to slide into the wrong directon?

11) Cordia (4-7):   Previous Rank: 10

This Week: 2/8 at Pike County Central, 2/9 vs. Red Bird, 2/13 at June Buchanan

Cordia split their lone two games last week, defeating Powell County 80-39 but falling in overtime to Letcher County Central 63-61.

12) Owsley County (7-3):   Previous Rank: 11

This week: 2/9 at Perry County Central, 2/12 at Powell County

The Owls defeated Jackson City 65-30 in their lone game last week. The other 3 games that were scheduled was canceled due to COVID-19.

13) Lee County (7-10):   Previous Rank: 12

This Week: 2/8 vs. Hazard, 2/12 vs. Jenkins

The Bobcats took two out of three last week, picking up wins over Riverside Christian 55-23 and a big win over Buckhorn (who had just beat Perry County Central) 53-51. The Bobcats would lose a big district contest though on the road to Estill County 58-41.

14) Powell County (0-11):   Previous Rank: 15

This Week: 2/12 vs. Owsley County, 2/13 Burgin

The Pirates are struggling bad. This might be the worse Powell County team Stanton has ever seen. Couple questions,; 1) Can the Pirates stop the bleeding and get some wins before districts? 2) Can the Pirates either win or lose a game that they aren't getting blowed out in? 7 of their 11 games (all losses), have been blowouts.

15) Jackson City (1-5):   Previous Rank: 14

This Week: 2/12 at June Buchanan

The Tigers fell to the Owsley County Owls 65-30. They had 4 games total (two this comign week) that were COVID-19 cancellations. They've been hit hard.

16) Riverside Christian (0-10):   Previous Rank: 16

This Week: 2/9 vs. LIGHT (Danville KY Home School)

The Rams are still searching for win #1. They have two games left. Can they get that one win?
