Colonels play for the first time since defeating North Oldham on 1/22/21.

Oldham improves to 3-1 on the year (3-0 in Region 8 play) and Collins falls to 6-5.

Both teams without one of their starting guards; Oldham was missing starting point guard Grant Gibson, while Collins was missing sophomore guard Kenyon Goodin, the team's leading scorer at 13 ppg.

Tyler Slone of OC led the Colonels in scoring with 17 points; Xander Wagner-Rose tallied his second consecutive double-double, with 15 points and 14 rebounds.

Collins led early in the first, 8-5, but Oldham scored the final seven points of the first period to take a 12-8 lead after one and never relinquished it.

It was Oldham County, 35-20, at the half, and the Colonels ultimately led by as many as 18 points in the contest.

Dawson Eden spent the final few minutes of the first half on the bench with two fouls, but he had a superb second half for the Titans.

Really had hoped to see Kenyon Goodin last night, but he was out with an ankle injury suffered against LexCath.   Word is he may be back this to action this Friday....

Impressed by the soft touch jumpers I saw from Quinton Simmons.   Honestly, I think he needs to shoot more for Collins; Oldham did a good job on him last night, though, and he really didn't get many good looks.

Oldham's length was really on display last night; we didn't count, but the Colonels had a slew of blocks and even more altered shots.   Collins really doesn't have much height, and despite the Titans' quickness, the Colonels always seemed to have someone between them and the basket.
