South raced out to a big lead early and never looked back.

Four players in double figures; two recorded double-doubles.

41-22 South at the half; lead reached 26 in the second half...

Unofficial South scoring:

Ella Morrison 26 points / 12 rebounds

Sierra Kemelgor 16 points / 13 rebounds

Meagan Chen 15

Brynna Blackburn 15

South repeatedly beat Assumption down the floor in transition, getting easy layups and often drawing fouls.    As a result, South shot 23 free throws, making 19 (82.6%)

The Lady Dragons corralled 45 rebounds in the contest as they dominated both ends.

Assumption very young; they show real promise, but beaten today by an older, wiser South squad.
