nWo
A threat exists for a few scattered severe storms capable of damaging winds, hail and perhaps a tornado or two this afternoon into the evening hours. The Storm Prediction Center has a large section of Kentucky in a category 1 Marginal Risk Area. As of this morning the timing appears to be from mid afternoon into the early evening. Scattered storms should start forming along the Ohio River around 3 pm EDT just ahead of the strong cold front. The main line of storms along the cold front should start entering into Kentucky around the 6 pm EDT time period moving in a southeasterly direction. They should weaken as the travel across Kentucky during the evening hours.
