The Brossart Mustangs won their second Class 1A, District 5 contest, defeating Bracken County 34-6 Friday night in Alexandria.

Carson Schirmer, the "Senior Rookie" got the Mustangs on the board in the first minute of the game, rambling 47 yards for a touchdown.  The PAT attempt was no good, and Brossart led 6-0 before the fans were comfortable in their seats.

Trevor Schadler would score three rushing TDs on the night, and Jacob Leicht found the sophomore Mason Meyer on a 15 yard touchdown pass.  The Mustangs led 34-0 at intermission,  allowing Coach Wiggins ample opportunity to liberally exercise his bench throughout the second half.  With the win the Mustangs improve to 3-2 on the season.

The Brossart Mustangs can clinch the District 5 title next Friday night when the Paris Greyhounds come to call.
