Pikeville must enter with the unusual feeling of needing to rebound from a regular season loss. The Panthers offense was stifled in Northern Kentucky by 6A Campbell County, giving Pikeville their first regular season defeat since September 21st, 2018 (Point Pleasant, WV).

Phelps should be the cure to get their stat lines cranked back up. The Hornets have fought valiantly, but their defense has been less than impressive allowing an average of 40 points per game including a 50-burger last week to Pike Central in defeat.

What Phelps can rely on is QB Dominick Francis, who has been superb as expected. The Senior has accounted for 1138 yards from scrimmage and 13 TD's. They will need him to transcend to have any hope of pulling off one of the biggest upsets in the State and ending perhaps the single most dominant current series in Kentucky history.

Pikeville is 35-0 against the Hornets all-time dating back to 1984.

Panthers by a million.
