The Sayre Spartans are now 4-0 and can be considered for real with this 28-14 victory over Covington Holy Cross.  Coach Chad Pennington had his "pass first" offense going early, scoring on the opening drive.  The combination of his QB son, Cole, and WR Trey Dennis accounted for 3 of the 4 Spartans touchdowns.  Jackson Marshall had the other one with a 48 yard pick six in the first quarter.  For Holy Cross, QB Javier Ison ran for a score and threw for another.  Freshman RB Lavarr Jones is proving to be quite a load for defenders as he ran for 98 yards.

Covington Holy Cross (1-3) travels to Beechwood (2-2) next Friday night in order to begin district play, while Sayre travels to Carroll County.
