nWo Posted September 1, 2020 Share Posted September 1, 2020 URGENT - IMMEDIATE BROADCAST REQUESTED Severe Thunderstorm Watch Number 483 NWS Storm Prediction Center Norman OK 610 PM CDT Tue Sep 1 2020 The NWS Storm Prediction Center has issued a * Severe Thunderstorm Watch for portions of Southwest Kentucky Northern Mississippi Western Tennessee * Effective this Tuesday evening from 610 PM until 1100 PM CDT. * Primary threats include... Scattered damaging wind gusts to 70 mph possible A tornado or two possible SUMMARY...Clusters of storms and possibly a supercell or two will continue moving east-northeastward across the region this evening. Damaging winds are the primary hazard, but a tornado risk cannot be ruled out. The severe thunderstorm watch area is approximately along and 35 statute miles east and west of a line from 75 miles northeast of Dyersburg TN to 65 miles south southwest of Memphis TN. REMEMBER...A Severe Thunderstorm Watch means conditions are favorable for severe thunderstorms in and close to the watch area.
