September 1, 20206 yr URGENT - IMMEDIATE BROADCAST REQUESTED Severe Thunderstorm Watch Number 483 NWS Storm Prediction Center Norman OK 610 PM CDT Tue Sep 1 2020 The NWS Storm Prediction Center has issued a * Severe Thunderstorm Watch for portions of Southwest Kentucky Northern Mississippi Western Tennessee * Effective this Tuesday evening from 610 PM until 1100 PM CDT. * Primary threats include... Scattered damaging wind gusts to 70 mph possible A tornado or two possible SUMMARY...Clusters of storms and possibly a supercell or two will continue moving east-northeastward across the region this evening. Damaging winds are the primary hazard, but a tornado risk cannot be ruled out. The severe thunderstorm watch area is approximately along and 35 statute miles east and west of a line from 75 miles northeast of Dyersburg TN to 65 miles south southwest of Memphis TN.
