This is another change-over that got kind of buried by all of the early coronavirus scrambling surrounding the Sweet 16. Jordan Rice stepped in as interim head coach for the Colonels in January 2018 after Josh Davis resigned mid-season. Rice stepped down after finishing out the 2017/18 season and coaching the next two seasons, and Blake Button was hired in mid-March of this year.

Coach Button was previously the head coach for the Caverna boys from the 2010/11 through 2013/14, and had spent time prior to that as the head coach for the Clinton County Lady Dawgs.
