nWo
Isolated to scattered strong to severe storms are possible this afternoon and evening. Ths Storm Prediction Center has portions of south-central and southeastern Kentucky under a category 2 Slight Risk Area for these possible storms. That area is surrounded by a category 1 Marginal Risk Area for isolated storms. The main threats from these storms look to be damaging winds and brief heavy rain. While the threat is lower, hail and a tornado can not be ruled out. Weather region I will be using in the future. As of this morning, this is what the HRRR Radar is showing. It covers the time from 2-9 pm EDT Updates later today.
nWo
Isolated severe thunderstorms are expected to develop this afternoon across the southern sections of Kentucky. Condition look to be favorable for the formation of supercell storms capable of producing at least isolated large hail and damaging winds. A couple of tornadoes could be possible depending on the degree of destabilization.
