Bowling Green 57 Warren Central 51 (14th District Championship)

Bowling Green may not have been able to get the region the last two years, but they haven't let the district slip at all. This is their seventh consecutive district title, equaling the district record they already held, set from 1939-1945. I personally expected this result, as neither team was going to tip their hand before region, and just had a feeling that Bowling Green would get it. They had two decisive runs - one a 14-2 run in the third quarter to push the game from a 33-29 deficit to a 43-35 lead, then a 5-0 mini-run to go up 50-41, and they never allowed it to get closer than four points again. Central was abysmal from three, going 3/23, which is an extremely common theme in their losses.

Conner Cooper led the Purples with 17. Isaiah Mason had 13. After sitting much of the first half with two fouls, Mason was key with 8 points in the third, helping Bowling Green grab the lead they never relinquished. Boyd had 17 for Central, but they just couldn't throw it in the ocean from the perimeter. We find out what it all was for tomorrow at the draw.
