February 10, 20206 yr This is a perfect example of how numbers lie. Dallas back up quarterback, Philip Nelson (East Carolina) went 33-42 but only totaled 209 yards with a pick. He actually threw three balls downfield, with two going way out of bounds and one being picked off. Dallas ran the ball just 12 times, with Lance Dunbar (North Texas) averaging 5.4 yards a carry. Flynn Nagel (Northwestern) led the Dallas receivers with 6 catches good for 43 yards. Also with 6 catches was Lance Dunbar 29 yards and Donald Parham 40 yards (Stetson). For winning St. Louis, Matt Jones (Florida) led all rushers with 85 yards on 21 carries. Keith Ford (Texas A&M) had the only rushing touchdown. In all he had 26 yards on 4 carries. Alonzo Russell (Toledo) had the only receiving touchdown. He totaled 3 catches for 49 yards. L'Damian Washington (Missouri) had 5 catches for 20 yards. Austin MacGinnis (Kentucky) had 3 field goals for all of the points Dallas had.
