newarkcatholicfan
This one was a difficult game to get into with the horrible QB play Matt McGloin (Penn State) 15-29, 182 yards with 1 touchdown but he missed several open receivers. Then we had Aaron Murray (Georgia) 16-34, 231 yards with 2 picks, with many of his passes being no where close to his open receivers. Matt McGloin scored on a 1 yard run Tim Cook (Oregon State) ran in the one point point to put New York up 7-0 with 9:52 first. Colby Pearson (BYU) hauled in a 12 yard pass and Cook ran in the point after to make this a 14-0 game, with 13:29 left in the half. Matthew McCrane (Kansas State) made it 17-0 at the half, with his 49 yard field goal. Tampa Bay finally got on the scoreboard thanks to a Andrew Franks (Rensselaer Polytechnic) field goal, with 1:05 left in the third. Jamar Summers (Connecticut) with a scoop and score for New York to make this a 23-3 game and that would be all of the scoring. De'Veon Smith (Michigan) had 79 yards on 156 carries for Tampa Bay. Daniel Williams (Jackson State) had 6 catches good for 123 yards. Mekale McKay (Cincinnati) had 3 catches for 58 yards for New York. Colby Pearson (Brigham Young) had 2 catches for 44 yards and a score. Bunmi Rotimi Jr. (Old Dominion) and Ben Heeney (Kansas) each had 9 tackles for New York.
