A rare Saturday MORNING game.

Who: North Oldham (13-3) vs. Atherton (6-10)

When: 11 am tipoff

Where: North Oldham HS, Goshen, KY

Broadcast: Internet video; pregame show begins at 10:30 AM ET The Pegasus Sports Network - PSN

The Lady Mustangs of North Oldham have clinched a third consecutive winning season, something that has never before been done at North Oldham.

The Lady Mustangs are averaging 72.8 ppg, one of the highest in the state, and sophomore Riley Neal is averaging 22.2 ppg, good enough to tie for 14th best in the state.

The Lady Mustangs, who have never made it to the Region tournament in the school's 16 seasons, look to break that trend this year. North upset perennial district power South Oldham last week, and also topped district rival Trimble County to force a three-way tie at the top of District 29 with Oldham County and South Oldham; all three finished 2-1 in seeding games.

Atherton is trying to rebuild on the heels of a 2-25 season last year; the Rebels have won just 9 games total the past two seasons. This year's team, under first-year coach Gerard Mattingly, is now 6-10 and has won three straight, including a 38-37 upset victory over Collegiate two weeks ago.

North Oldham won last year's matchup 55-8 and the year before, 54-10. But both teams look to be much better than their predecessors.

Who wins? Why?

I'll post updates as I can during the broadcast.
