South played without star PG Skyler Sahatjian, a four-year starter, but I doubt even Sahatjian could have stopped this tsunami.

North Oldham scored more points than any North Oldham girls' team has ever scored against South, winning just the Lady Mustangs' second-ever game in the all-time series, which is led by South, 22-2. The loss ended a 20-game South Oldham winning streak in the series.

The win was the first win for the Lady Mustangs (12-3) over a team with a winning record this year, but - more importantly - it guaranteed North their third consecutive season with a winning record, something that had never been done in Goshen.

The game leaves the District 29 standings as follows:

Oldham County 2-1

South Oldham 2-1

North Oldham 1-1

Trimble County 0-2

One District 29 seeding game remains, between North and Trimble.

If North wins, it will create a three-way tie for the top seed. The tiebreaker - point differential with a maximum of 25 points per game - sits as follows:

Oldham County +43

South Oldham +11

North Oldham -7

Since the differential per game is capped at 25 points, North cannot outscore Trimble County by enough points to overtake Oldham; the closest North could come is +18 (if they defeated Trimble by 25 or more points). So - in the event of a North Oldham win over Trimble - Oldham would get the #1 seed, and North / South would be the 2 and 3 seeds, with the #2 seed going to whichever of the two teams finished with the highest point differential. Of course, that would mean that North would play South again in the first round of the District 29 tourney.

If Trimble beats North, then the final district standings would look like this:

South Oldham 2-1

Oldham County 2-1

Trimble County 1-2

North Oldham 1-2

South would take the tiebreaker for #1 seed over Oldham County due to their head-to-head victory over the Lady Colonels, and Trimble would take the #3 seed due to their head-to-head victory over North.

As such, it doesn't really matter whether North or Trimble wins. Either way, Oldham will face Trimble County in round 1 and North Oldham will face South Oldham.
