girlbballplayerdad
Just curious, looked at the box score and did not see Tamara Sneed's name, is she out for one game or is she hurt and out for many. There was a lot of talk before the season started about her skills, etc....and just looking to see what she was doing.
Latch
I heard she is off the team, but haven't heard any reasons why.
Andtheheadcoach
This is the 3rd game now that Tamara hasn't played. Anyone have any news? Possibly NPTWildcat. If she's off the team, it would be a shame to see the best player in the 9th out for the season.
shsbballmom
I agree 100 percent, it would be a shame if she is no longer on the team. I hope that it is something minor that is keeping her away. I checked the stats as well, and her name is not out there for Newport. They played Villa last night, and Bivens was the high scorer for Newport. nptwildcat
She is indeed off the team by choice the reasoning doesn't need to be brought up on here. The Ladycats are in for a long season if Sneed doesn't come to her senses soon.
Andtheheadcoach
Yes, I don't think it's anyones business as to why, it's just a shame that someone with as much talent as Tamara would miss something like this...I hope you're right and she DOES come to her senses...she's an exciting player to watch. ATHC as a coach do you give a player who isn't sure if they want to play a deadline or do you allow them to come back on the team when they are ready? Andtheheadcoach
I would say that is up to each individual coach. Everyone is different. I am sure that most coaches probably have their players sign contracts or the like at the beginning of the season agreeing on team rules and what not. So, in this situation, I am not sure what, as a coach, I would do. There ARE arguments for both sides. I am sure if it were the 10th player off the bench, it would be a much easier decision, but in this case, it's a VERY tough decision to make. Glad I don't make those decisions! nptwildcat
You can't really be judgmental on whether or not she should be able to come back or not its a situation that I know Coach Slone is trying to handle the best way possible.

I'm not judging Coach Slone. She will do what's best for Tamara and the team. I think every situation is unique but I wanted to bring up the question as a general question not specifically tied to Newport but I did a poor job in doing so.
