South Carolina State (7-8, 2-1 MEAC) led by 7 points with 1:02 left but allowed Howard (2-16, 0-4 Conf) to lock things up and force overtime. The Bulldogs recovered and out scored the Bison by six in the overtime frame to post the 101-95 win. Tashombe Riley (Orangeburg, SC) came off of the bench to lead the Bulldogs with 24 points.
