Northern Iowa (9-1) went into Colorado (7-4) and handed the home team a three point loss. The Panthers had a one point lead at the half, which was big I.M.O. because it showed that they could play with the power five team, who was ranked (#24). Spencer Haldeman (Peosta, IA) only totaled 8 points, but his steal (3) with .49 seconds left resulted in a layup that broke a tie and from their the Panthers held on for the win. Trae Berhow (Mayer, Minn) and AJ Green (Cedar Falls, IA) each scored 20 to lead the winners. Justin Dahl (Carver, Minn) came off of the bench to hit all seven of his shots to add 14 points. For Colorado, who was (4-0) at home Lucas Siewert (Joinville, Brazil) came off of the bench to lead the way with 24 points.
