Open Job: Henry Clay

With Coach Simpson retiring after 27 years at the post, who are the likely candidates for this job?

 

Is there already someone on staff who's likely to take over? Simpson has been the OC for as long as I can recall, but I believe has been sharing the play calling with his son Salin in the last few years. Demetrius Gay is the assistant head coach for the team, and I believe he handles the defensive coordinating duties.

 

Will Fayette County be looking elsewhere? Or is this more likely to be a "whomever applies" kind of a hire? With the somewhat non-typical FCPS football success that's been shown at Douglass, does that make the Henry Clay job a more attractive hire, or less?
