East of that ares is a category 1 Marginal Risk Area for strong to severe storms. This east most border of this area is to just west of I-65. Severe storms, with a threat for damaging winds and a few tornadoes, are possible across parts of the lower to mid Mississippi Valley Region this afternoon through tonight. This threat while it may be lessor extends into parts of western Kentucky. I will be monitoring this situation and post an update whenever possible.
November 26, 20196 yr Author I'm issuing a level 1 BGP Tornado Threat Index for the portions of western Kentucky that I mentioned above. The main reason is these possible storms may not enter into Kentucky until late tonight or early in the morning on Wednesday. I'm monitoring the situation and will update when possible. http://bluegrasspreps.com/weather/bgp-tornado-threat-379571.html
November 26, 20196 yr Author Strong to severe thunderstorms will be possible tonight. Damaging winds will be the primary hazard. Rapid spin-up tornadoes cannot be ruled out with stronger activity. The area with the greatest potential for strong to severe storms will be across southeast Missouri, southwest Illinois, and far western Kentucky.
