Front Runners

Beau Allen (QB, Lexington Catholic)

Week 10: This two game stretch against Bourbon and Anderson County has mostly been a stat padding endeavor. His line against the Bearcats was similar to the one he had against the Colonels - 17/27 for 342 yards and four touchdowns. Hopefully Allen has had a chance to catch his breath the past two weeks after a frenetic seven game run to start the season. He'll need to be in peak form this week with Frederick Douglass lying straight ahead. The Broncos haven't been scored on since Week 2.

Season to date: 196/285 for 3,025 yards and 33 TDs/4 ints. - 403 yards rushing/9 TDs

Reed Lanter (QB, Boyle County)

Week 10: Boyle is in the midst of the cool down portion of its schedule after spending three weeks dialed in against top competition. Lanter had another breezy night in the pocket, completing eight of eleven throws for 177 yards and three touchdowns in a 53-13 demolition of Bourbon County.

Season to date: 108/147 for 2,000 yards and 24 TDs/1 int.

Michael Mayer (TE/LB, Covington Catholic)

Week 10: Mayer made sure his last regular season game in a CovCath uniform was a memorable one. He hauled in five passes for 148 yards and two first half touchdowns, plus an interception and a forced fumble on defense in the Colonels' top seed clinching, 45-7 blowout of Conner.

Season to date: 33 catches for 676 yards and 11 TDs - 3 carries for 37 yards and a TD - 66 tackles/1.5 sacks/3 int./1 pick-six/3 forced fumbles

Reese Smith (WR/S, Boyle County)

Week 10: Few players in the state can come close to matching Smith's efficiency in regards to making the most of his touches. He's gotten his hands on the ball 41 times this season on offense with 17 (41%) of those touches going for six. He accounted for 125 yards from scrimmage and two touchdowns - one receiving, one rushing - against Bourbon County.

Season to date: 36 catches for 1,043 yards and 14 touchdowns - 3 rushing TDs - 20 tackles/4 ints.

Locks

Malachi Corley (RB/WR/DB, Campbellsville)

Week 10: Corley sat out Campbellsville's 28-12 loss to Louisville Holy Cross due to an undisclosed injury. His status is unclear at this time. Needless to say, his health is of vital importance to the Eagles' chances of making a run at Kroger Field.

Season to date: 46 rushes for 530 yards and 10 TDs - 21 catches for 606 yards and 9 TDs - 54 tackles/4 forced fumble/1 fumble recovery - 1 punt return touchdown

Izayah Cummings (WR, Male)

Week 10: A commanding performance from Male against Bullitt East meant an early night's work for Cummings. He only caught two balls for 44 yards In the 50-0 win. Up next is ancient rival Manual, who possesses one of the better pass defenses in 6A.

Season to date: 45 catches for 844 yards and 9 TDs

Jeriah Hightower (RB, Madisonville-North Hopkins)

Week 10: The Maroons were off last week. They return to action this Friday against Mayfield in a watchlist spotlight game between Hightower and Cardinals QB Jayden Stinson.

Season to date: 206 rushes for 2,041 yards and 20 TDs

Octavious Oxendine (DT, North Hardin)

Week 10: In one of the week's biggest collisions, North Hardin leaned heavily on its perpetually stingy defensive unit to stifle Central Hardin's potent offense. Oxendine registered six tackles, including a sack, and the Trojans held the Bruins to twenty yards rushing, nearly 240 below their season average coming in.

Season to date: 39 tackles/7 TFL/12 sacks

Walker Parks (OT/DL, Frederick Douglass)

Week 10: Douglass' offense is running like a well oiled machine - albeit against questionable opposition - and the exploits of the defense have been well documented on BGP of late. Parks is a critical part of the foundation for the Broncos' success on both sides of the ball. His focus against Montgomery County last Friday was offensive efficiency, where Douglass continues to excel. They compiled 389 yards of offense on just 30 snaps. FD is nearly averaging a first down per play this season.

Season to date: 22 tackles/7 TFL/3 sacks - The Broncos are averaging 8 yards per carry and have yet to allow a sack this season.

Jayden Stinson (QB, Mayfield)

Week 10: The anticipated battle of watchlist quarterbacks between Stinson and Murray's Hunter Utley never quite got off the ground. Utley left the game in the second quarter with an apparent wrist injury that sent him back to Murray for a medical evaluation. Stinson picked up his game in the second half and finished with 245 yards and three touchdowns as Mayfield pulled away from Murray in the third and fourth quarters to win going away, 41-6.

Season to date: 114/173 for 2,247 yards and 30 TDs/7 ints.

On The Bubble

Jayden Barnhardt (QB, Lexington Christian Academy)

Week 10: Behind Barnhardt's 274 yards and four passing touchdowns - his third 4 TD game of the season - LCA put away Danville to win their seventh game in a row. He's accounted for 27 total touchdowns during that streak.

Season to date: 134/222 for 2,197 yards and 24 TDs/9 ints. - 451 rushing yards and 8 TDs

Drew Hartz (QB, Owensboro Catholic)

Week 10: Hartz matched Stinson's perfect game last week with one of his own against Butler County. He completed all thirteen of his passes for 225 yards and five touchdowns in a 63-24 OCath win. Hartz has thrown 35 touchdown passes since his last interception.

Season to date: 182/249 for 3,140 yards and 44 TDs/2 ints.
