State Field Hockey Tournament This Week

The 2019 State Field Hockey Tournament will begin play this week. Regional finals are tonight, and the winner and runner-up both advance.

Sacred Heart enters the tournament ranked 23rd Nationally and #2 in the Midwest. Others ranked in the Midwest are Manual at #3, Assumption at #8, and CAL at #10.

Some of these teams have played ranked competition all season. SHA has played at least 5 teams ranked in the National top 25. SHA, Assumption and Manual all played in the Maxpreps National Invitational earlier this year.

North Oldham, also ranked in the Midwest, fell in the first round of the region and has been eliminated from the tournament.
