Oldham County vs. Madison Central Predictions/Updates

First-time meeting between these two schools as district rivals. It will be a new feeling when the Colonels and the Indians face off in Buckner Friday.

The new district features three teams that had excellent seasons last year, but the district as a whole is slumping a bit this year:

Oldham County (3-3) - won 10 games last year in Class 5A

Madison Central (1-5) - won 10 games last year en route to the 6A semi-finals

George Rogers Clark (2-4) - won 7 games last year

Bryan Station (2-4) - won only three games last year - but beat Madison Central by 20(!)

Oldham features a huge roster of around 95 kids....GRC boasts some size among their players....Bryan Station probably has the most speed....

Oldham currently has the district's best record, but the Colonels have endured a brutal three-game road stretch during which they've faced two top 10 6A teams (Fern Creek and Manual) and one top 10 5A team (South Oldham), and they've dropped all three.

Madison Central has the worst record in the district, but the Indians have been in most of their games, and lost to a solid Anderson County team by just 2 points.

Both teams have an opportunity to right the ship on Friday, and a win puts one of these teams into the early district lead.
