The 5th Region should be wide open this year as a lot of teams have lost talent. My top 4 would be Bardstown, John Hardin, Etown, and Marion County in no order. Here is an explanation for why I chose these four.

 

Bardstown- Return starting point guard Jarel Montgomery and the now highly recruited 6'8 JJ Traynor.

 

John Hardin- They bring back 6'5 Alex Matthews, 6'4 Trevon Harris, and 6'8 Preston Murrell all starters from last years title team.

 

Elizabehtown- Super sophomore group led by Jaquais Franklin and Camden Williams return. They return all 5 starters.

 

Marion County- Led by new coach Maze Stallworth they bring back five of their top six scorers inculding Tyshay Epps and Jamison Epps.

I think you could say those four with LaRue County rounding out the top 5 in the region.

You are probably right they do return Goode, Bryan, and Belton but the losses of Davis, Adkins, and Cox will really hurt their athleticism and guard play I think.
