Unfortunately I know next to nothing about the Panthers future opponents. They have not played Southwest Baptist since 2010 if my info is correct. Just looking at the past history and this seasons box scores I think KWC will be the underdog again this week.

This Panther team is very young and relies heavily on freshman players on both sides of the ball so real time game experience will be their best learning tool. With that being said I think a win in the first half of the season would surprise me. However they did show big improvement on offense from week 1 to week 2 before the turnover bug hit them big in the second half last week. If they can continue to find confidence and consistency on offense maybe a win against Lake Erie would not be out of the question.

Beyond that the wins this season may be hard to achieve but with the energy and enthusiasm that coach Yeast and his staff have brought with them this group could surprise a team or two in the second half of the season. From talking to my son, who is a freshman defensive lineman for the Panthers this year they understand they have a tall mountain to climb but they look forward to climbing it!

After the Lake Erie game they play 5 teams that the Panthers are a combined 0 - 10 against but I think there could be a win in there somewhere if they continue to improve.

Overall a 3 win season would be a decent foundation to start to build on, 4 wins would be an unexpected surprise, anything beyond that and they would have to rename the stadium!

You are probably right that Lake Erie represents their best chance to get a "W".

Maybe you can help me, @SX1250.1, I was looking for a freshman D-Lineman named Christien Carter. I know he signed with KWC earlier this year but when I was getting ready to go to the game with Concordia, I looked at the roster and no longer saw him there. He is a great kid from a great family.

Someone did tell me they thought they saw him at the game in the stands, but I did not.

Do you know if he red-shirted, went somewhere else, or is attending KWC but not playing. He was from Scott County, formerly of Lloyd Memorial in NKY, and played with my son in BCPWFL. I was looking forward to connecting with him and his family at that game.
