Estill County/Letcher County Central Game ends in controversy

Estill County hosted Letcher County Central on Friday night in the first ever Robbie Wiseman Memorial Classic.

The previous two times these two played, Letcher won in going away fashion. This time was a different story.

Letcher Central led 12-7 at halftime.

Estill would put up 29 points in the second half while Letcher put up 28. Both teams traded leads. Estill grabbed a late lead at 36-32.

Here's where the controversy came into play. Letcher was driving on Estill County 1 yard line, their would be a fumble which led to the dog pile. Refs blow play dead and start unpilling, at the bottom of the pile laid an Estill County's player on his back with the ball in his hands, a Letcher Central player smacks the ball out of the Estill County's player hands. Refs would then give the ball back to Letcher Central when it was Estill County's ball. Everyone was stunned even Letcher County Central.

Letcher would go on to score with right around a minute to play and after the 2pt conversion it was 40-36.

Estill would throw an INT on their last drive.
