Class 3A

 

It was a statement kind of week for Class 3A. All told, five different 3A teams notched wins over ranked foes from other classifications, all of which by double digit margins. The lone 3A team to lose to another ranked foe was Elizabethtown, who fell in very respectable fashion to one of 6A's Top 5 teams. The schedule opens up a bit this week, but some chances for statements still exist, specifically for Paducah Tilghman and Taylor County who can knock off rival teams ranked at or near the top of their respective classes. Russell may be right on the veil of the Top 10, but the Devils have a chance to make their move a week after romping Raceland, with a win over Ironton, OH. A loss above them may be their recipe for success.
