August 30, 20197 yr This morning there exist a chance for scattered strong to severe storms for later today. This threat is mainly for the Cincinnati/NKY area. Thunderstorms are forecast to initiate along a cold front in southern Illinois and Indiana during the mid to late afternoon. This activity should spread eastward into southern Ohio and northern Kentucky by early evening. At this time the main threats look to be marginally damaging winds and heavy downpours under the stronger storms. The timing for these storms reaching the Cincinnati/NKY area is after 4 pm and the threat continuing to after 9 pm EDT. I will be monitoring this because I know there are some who will be out attending high school football games tonight. If any warnings are issued later this evening I will be sending them out whenever possible via our Twitter page.
