Category 1 Marginal Risk Area for WKY (6/26/19)

There is a category 1 Marginal Risk Area for parts of WKY for later this afternoon. This area is west of a line from Owensboro down to around Ft. Campbell.

 

 

Scattered thunderstorms are expected this afternoon, mainly over southeast Missouri and southern Illinois. The activity may spread

into southwest Indiana and west Kentucky by early evening. A few strong to severe storms with damaging winds and large hail will be

possible. Locally heavy rainfall and lightning can be expected with any thunderstorms this afternoon and evening. The thunderstorms should dissipate with sunset.
