Current indications are that storms will most likely develop along and ahead of southeast advancing cold front spread southeast through the Ohio Valley during the afternoon and evening. Conditions look to be variable for the development of supercell storms. These Storms may produce large hail, damaging winds and a couple of tornadoes as the move southeast through the region later Thursday afternoon into the evening. These possible storms look to stay mainly north of I-64.

I will be watching this closely and post updates later today.

Today the same areas are also in a Category 1 Marginal Risk Area but it looks like the best chances will be on Thursday. So be on the lookout for pop up strong to severe storms later today.

Severe storms with a threat for mainly damaging wind and large hail are expected for portions of the Ohio Valley. The Category 1 Marginal Risk area has been expanded to include more of Kentucky down to around the Cumberland PKWY. These storms look to be scattered in nature.
