VEX Robotics World Championships in KY

The 2019 VEX Robotics World Championships were held at the end of April at Freedom Hall and the Kentucky Exposition Center. Over 1000 middle school, high school, and college teams came together to crown this year's champion. There were 15 teams from Kentucky that were represented. Unfortunately no KY teams made the finals, however one team from Gateway Academy (8349A) in Hopkinsville made it to the semi-finals which in itself is quite the accomplishment.

Had never heard of the competition until I nearly missed my 7am flight Sunday morning as every kid that attended was apparently flying out that morning. The airport was a zoo.

Yea its a pretty big thing. It should air on ESPN sometime this summer.
