This looked like it was going south in Detroit for the Bolts, this evening.

 

The Wings scored the first 3 goals of the game and led 3-0 midway through the 2nd period. At that moment the main 4 cylinders of the Tampa Bay offense said ENOUGH. Steven Stamkos scored at that point, then Brayden Point, Tyler Johnson, Nikita Kucherov piled on 4 more consecutive goals, 2 by Kuch, to seal the deal for the Lightning.

 

The Wings added a late goal with a man advantage, but were unable to close the gap any further.

 

Boston lost, so Tampa Bay, with 112 points, has a 19 point lead over the Bruins. Both teams have 11 games to go.

With 11 games left, Tampa Bay, who has 112 points, needs to get to 115 points to lock up the Atlantic division and home ice in the Eastern Conference. They need 116 to lock up the Presidents Trophy and home ice throughout the playoffs. This assumes Boston and San Jose win out.
