swamprat
Nikita Kucherov scored Tampa Bay's only goal in regulation, then placed the game winner past Carter Hutton in the 3rd round of the shootout to give the Bolts their 8th consecutive win. Steven Stamkos scored in the first round of the shootout, allowing the opportunity for Kuch to end it in the 3rd. Carter Hutton had a whale of a game, stopping 39 of 40 shots on goal during regulation and overtime. Some where spectacular. Andrei Vasilevskiy faced 18 shots on goal in the 1st period, alone, allowing the 17th by to give Buffalo a 1-0 lead. He, and the Lightning defense, then shut the Sabres down the remainder of regulation, overtime, and the shootout. Buffalo only had 12 shots on goal the remainder of the game, despite having 3 extra man opportunities in the 3rd period. Nikita Kucherov picked up his league leading 100th point of the season and 30th goal. Tampa Bay is 8-0-2 in their last 10 games and leads Boston by 18 points in the Atlantic division. They play the Kings in Amalie, Monday night. I'll be in section 103 row L seat 1. :ylsuper:
