With Winnipeg losing to Dallas, this gave the Preds a chance to retake 1st place, but they couldn't beat Miami, who was playing the back end of a back to backer on the road.

 

The Panthers took a 3-0 lead into the 3rd period before Nick Bonino and Austin Watson close the gap to 3-2, however Jared McCann scored with a little over 8 minutes to go and Nashville was unable make up the difference.
