Am I too take it that the entire idea of picking leaders is to "make it difficult" for the people on the other side of the aisle?

 

In one breath, I see the conservatives on this board bemoaning the fact that the Democrats will be worthless, or even worse, catastrophic for our nation. This is based on the presumption that after taking control of Congress, they will not help Bush enact his policies (the same ones that he couldn't get instituted with his own party controlling both houses), and here, in the next breath, you appear to be espousing installing leaders for the lone fact that you believe they will impede the legislative process.

 

Which is it? Are we trying to improve this country, or are we simply trying to further a single party's agenda at the cost of bipartisan efforts?
