Harlan County (3-7) may only have three wins this season, but they came at the most opportune time. Those victories allowed the Black Bears to capture the District 8 championship and potentially host playoff games through the semi-finals. The Cardinals (5-5) were looking good at 4-1 before hitting the most challenging stretch of their schedule, where they dropped four straight to Montgomery County, Southwestern, Pulaski County, and Lincoln County.
