Indications are that the high heat indices will continue through Thursday. The heat index will range from 104-111 across most of the state Thursday afternoon with the highest heat indexes in Western Kentucky.

Relief is on the way. Scattered Showers and thunderstorms will move in late Thursday night or early Friday morning. More widespread showers and possible thunderstorms will occur Friday afternoon.

 

Stay cool and be careful in the heat the next couple of days.
