NCAA Softball Super Regionals

Kentucky won the first game of their series with Oregon, but dropped the final 2 to the #1 ranked Ducks. The Cats are eliminated and Oregon moves on to the Women's College World Series.

Before the Super Regional round.

 

There is at least one SEC team in 7 of the 8 Super Regionals.

 

2 of those Super Regionals feature 2 SEC teams, meaning 9 of the 16 teams in the Super Regionals are from that conference.

 

Of the remaining teams, 4 are from the PAC 12, 1 is from the Big 12, and 1 is from the ACC.

 

Out of all those SEC teams in this round, the only 2 to advance were from Super Regionals where 2 SEC teams played each other. Every round where a SEC team played a non-SEC team, the SEC team lost.

 

After that huge discrepancy in the SR round, the PAC-12 ends up sending 4 teams to the WCWS, the SEC 2, the ACC 1, and the Big-12 1.
