Way to go CARDS! Keep Rollin!

Impressed by both teams' ball movement. 20 assists and 18 assists. (For comparison's sake, 7 and 11 in the Mercer Co.-Murray game.)

First time seeing GRC play in a couple of years. A lot of poise. Even after the one player got thrown down on the rebound, just went about their business.

Igo. Wow. 4 of 4 from the line, 4 of 4 from three-point range, 22 points, 6 assists.

And Behanan? 21 points (9 of 9 from line), 8 boards, 3 assists, 2 steals. It was a joy watching her play.

I was slightly disappointed with the Green girl from Harlan she wasn't as dominating as I thought she might be. Flowers did a good job of shadowing her and limiting her touches. I thought Igo was the best player on the court in this game.

The game in general got very physical on both sides under the bucket but GRC handled it well and was more athletic overall.

Very poised team. Coach Graham has taught that. That position could have gotten ugly. Proud of the way the girls handled it.

Bahanan is our only senior. She is a player and so is Igo. Very balanced team that works so well together. Love watching this team. Love Bells game, she is the work horse of the team.

[h=3]‘We’ve come here to take care of business.’ Clark County wins state opener[/h]The state tournament isn’t played in November, so Clark County’s season will end one way or another in the month of March. It got out of the 10th Region — the Cardinals in the semifinals upset Campbell County, a team that beat it by 26 three games after the embarassment at Sacred Heart — and kept up its winning ways with a 70-56 victory over Harlan County in the first round of the 57th St. Elizabeth Healthcare/KHSAA Girls’ Sweet Sixteen at Northern Kentucky University’s BB&T Arena on Wednesday.

Clark County will meet Elizabethtown in the quarterfinals on Friday.
