CLASS 2A 1st District PLAYOFF MATCHUPS

Featured Replies

We already know that Caldwell County is the #1 seed and Ft. Campbell is the #2 seed. Trigg County is the #3 seed with a win over Lone Oak this week. Who would be the #4 seed if Heath beats Webster County??? There would be a tie between Lone Oak, Heath, and Webster County.

Who would win the tiebreaker in this scenerio:

Lone Oak beats Trigg County (both would be 4-3) and Webster County beats Heath (Webster would be 4-3) Who would be the #3 seed and who would be the #4 seed??

Here's the way I see it, with the # in parenthesis the points through this week in case of a three-way tie...

First off, there doesn't seem to be a scenario where Heath gets in because they lose out on the points. Trigg is in the playoffs no matter what.

Trigg beats Lone Oak, Heath beats Webster

#3 Trigg

#4 Lone Oak (7)

#5 Webster (6)

#6 Heath (5)

Trigg beats Lone Oak, Webster beats Heath

#3 Trigg

#4 Webster

#5 Lone Oak

#6 Heath

Lone Oak beats Trigg, Heath beats Webster

#3 Lone Oak

#4 Trigg County

#5 Webster

#6 Heath

Lone Oak beats Trigg, Webster beats Heath

#3 Trigg (11)

#4 Lone Oak (7)

#5 Webster (6)

#6 Heath

thanks scribe for the info.

Lone Oak will suprise Trigg and Heath will beat Webster which should send Trigg to Caldwell that first game. Trigg will be a tough first round game for anybody. This district really got the short end of the stick this year with the playoff change.

I think Trigg had rather play Caldwell in the first round than Fort Campbell. The Falcons appear to be rolling since Croft's return.

Very good job by The Scribe explaining the scenario. Lone Oak really benefited this weekend with both Murray & Ballard Memorial picking up their 2nd win each. Should be interesting this weekend & throughout the playoffs.

I can't see Lone Oak pulling this one out...I don't think it matters if it's Webster or Lone Oak in the 4 spot, neither will beat Caldwell...So, imo, it'll come down to Trigg at #3 vs Ft Campbell at #2 with the winner taking on Caldwell in round 2...I'm picking Trigg to get there revenge on Ft Campbell and then do the same against Caldwell in rd 2...Then, in round 3, I think they knock off Monroe/Oboro Cath winner, regardless which it is...

Ft. Campbell is really on a roll right now. It isn't any one person's return that has them playing so well though. They lost their two starting senior offensive tackles earlier this year and it took a little time to get the O-line back in synch. They have it together right now and have dominated the past 3 weeks, as is evident by the big numbers the running back has put up. The passing game has taken advantage of this by throwing a lot of flanker and slip screens, basically and extended running game. Most of the pass yards come from yards after catch by getting the ball to their athletes and the O-line getting down field blocking. The "D" isn't to bad either with two straight shutouts. Look for Ft. Campbell to beat Trigg and Caldwell in the playoffs.
