Lee County senior guard Hannah Kash won MVP honors as the Lady Kats defeat Powell County 44-42 in the championship game. Kash had scored 39 vs Estill County in the district first round game and added 23 tonight. She is the fourth leading scorer in the state with a 27 ppg average.

The radio announcers said it was Lee’s first district championship since 1997.
