January 19, 20188 yr The Blue Jackets were outshot 36 to 26 and outplayed for most of the 2nd and 3rd periods. Columbus strikes first on Jordan Schroeder's first goal as a Jacket early in the first period. Early in the 3rd period, Dallas tied the game (or so we thought) on an Alexander Radulov goal but it was disallowed due to goaltender interference. Radulov wouldn't be denied as he netted the tying goal with 2:05 left in regulation. After an exciting but scoreless OT, the game went to a shootout, with Artemi Panarin punching in the only goal for either team, allowing the Jackets to escape with the win. Joonas Korpisalo was the man of the night for the Jackets, stopping 35 of 36 shots, while making an incredible "Bobrovsky-like" save late in the 3rd period. On a side note, my daughter is home on leave from the Navy and we went to the game. It was Military Appreciation Night and the Jackets did a great job of honoring all who serve. We had great discounted seats in the lower bowl and will remember this for a long time.
