November 3, 20178 yr Scattered severe thunderstorms capable of producing large hail, damaging winds, and a few tornadoes may be possible on Sunday. November 4, 20178 yr Author Saturday morning update: Scattered severe thunderstorms capable of producing large hail, damaging winds, and a few tornadoes may occur across parts of the Ohio Valley on Sunday. Scattered large hail, some of which may be significant, could occur with the initial supercell development particularly in western/central Indiana. The tornado potential should be greatest along the warm front through Sunday afternoon. This looks to be mainly in the Enhanced Risk and Slight Risk Areas. Parts of northwestern/northern Kentucky are in the Slight Risk Area. There is a Marginal Risk Area through parts of Kentucky from near and around Paducah that extends east/northeastward to about Maysville. Bowing line segment storms may occur from late Sunday afternoon into the evening as the cold front begins to accelerate southeastward. The primary severe threat should eventually transition to damaging winds. Timing looks like most of the severe weather may not react Kentucky until Sunday evening. The following maps show this. They should the possibility of the storms from 7 pm-4 am EST. Radar Energy in the atmosphere for storm development. Areas where supercell storms may develop Areas where there may be significant tornado development. I will post an update later today.
